WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF FIGHTER

The end of WW II:

  Italy soon surrendered left German and Japan in the battle with many Allied countries.  Then German lost the battle over Europe, and even in their own kingdom.  Hitler killed himself before the Russian and US armies came to catch him.  Even worse, Japan lost the battle with a couple of hundred thousand Civilians died due to the two US atomic bombs in 1945.  The Japanese government reluctantly surrendered with condition.  World War II was over, everyone now could get outside and took a deep breath wasn't afraid of the Germany poison gas anymore.  Blue sky was above, the soldiers now could put away their weapon and view the beautiful blue sky, not the sky  some days ago covered with smoke and gun power smell.  everyone could go home and enjoy his peaceful life.

    It was a half of century ago, However, lots of people still remember that day, the last day of Hitler actually.  The meeting between the Russian and US armies at Berlin 1945 after closing the battle from West and East German.  Shaking hand together and smiling, they looked so happy.  It was obvious because the war was over, so they wouldn't have to risk their lives anymore out in the trenches.  They wouldn't have to carry their rifles marching in the mud everyday, then got shot by German soon or later.  At that wonderful hour, the Russian and American soldiers were so closed, so friendly, they would never think of one day they'd have to encounter each other.  They would never believe that the Russian/American become their most dangerous enemies somday.

    That day badly became true.  After World War II Soviet Union quickly evolved into a country with super power challenged the entire Allied and US.  The power could destroy the whole world in the matter of minutes.  The two words "Cold War" reflect exactly what the war was..... it was nightmares of many countries, billions of people... and there were even some points the Dooms Days might have come to us.... The end of the world was thought to be not far...... ahead

   No one could exactly know at what point the arm race between USSR and US began (as I said it's Cold War).  In my opinions, it may have  started immediately after the WW II.  Both Soviet Union and US heavily supported their project developments in military.....  In this page I only focus on air defense's and air force's projects specially about jet fighter aircraft from the both super power countries.
